Buses are on their way

Well done to JVA!

Today's buses

Have just spoken to Andy at JVA and they are confident they will get the buses out in the next five minutes or so. So it looks like we will be running a service as normal. I will post again if there is any change to this.

Buses on Wednesday

Tomorrow morning’s buses (Wednesday) are looking doubtful and we will have to see what the weather is like overnight to determine if we will be able to run the service tomorrow. This evening there was heavy snow at Radstock where the bus depot is located, and JVA has experienced some difficulties during the day. You should be aware that JVA has made a real effort to get the buses out yesterday and today in spite of very awkward conditions around their yard. So we will have to take a decision first thing. I will be liaising with Andy at JVA around 7am and I will endeavour to post here as soon as I have some news. So please take a look before you set off. Obviously if there is a safety issue we will not run buses, even if the schools are open.

Buses on Tuesday

There has been a further two inches of snow at Radstock, but in spite of some difficulty getting out, the Frome bus is now on its way. It may be a bit late - please be patient. MSN bus is trying to get out now. I will try and keep you posted if i hear of any problem.

Buses on Monday

Buses should be running normally tomorrow (Monday 21 Jan). I have spoken to JVA and the only problem would arise if they cannot get out of their yard in Radstock. There is some light snow forecast overnight and freezing temperatures. I will post here as early as possible if there is any update.

No buses today

I have just spoken to JVA and we have decided not to run any buses today. There is heavy snow around the bus depot in Radstock. KES has already announced that it is closed except for students taking exams, and given the forecast for continued snow throughout the day, even if we can get children to school they may not be able to get back! Frome College and other schools are also closed. Hope you are all happy with that decision. We will keep an eye on the weather and post again before Monday.

Buses on Friday 18 Jan 2013

There is clearly going to be a heavy snow tomorrow (Friday) and it looks quite likely that buses will not be able to get out for Bath. I will be checking with JVA first thing in the morning and posting here as soon as I have any more information to let you know.
